The New Year Ahead

How do you approach a new opportunity, a new relationship, a new class, a new year? Do you lean more towards energized excitement or apprehensive nervousness? Is God at the core of your new beginning, or as more of an afterthought?

Thankfully we can gather some wisdom from the past, and can imagine and surmise (sort of) what wisdom could look like in the future. But mostly we have life right in front of us. There is a context that we are a part of, and wisdom involves going deeper into that context.

Hi all,

The final stretch of the semester is burdensome and thrilling, eh? Lots to do ... but, the end is in sight.

Labor Day Weekend Sept 1-4

Because LCM students are on Retreat in San Diego over Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 1-4, there will be no "The Gathering" at the Campus Christian Center on Sunday morning, Sept. 3. "The Gathering" (9:45am music rehearsal, 10am breakfast, 10:30am Worship) resumes Sept. 10 and will continue each Sunday for the rest of the Fall 2017 Semester.

God's peace,

Pastor Ron

Summertime 2017

Things are quieter around the UofA campus during the summer months. The University Blvd restaurants, Student Union restaurants, and Park Student restaurants are all pretty chill too. However, lots of energy and creativity is going into planning for the Fall semester. I'm excited about the coming year. I look forward to seeing returning students and new freshmen and transfers who will be coming to campus. I especially look forward to the adventures that God is planning for us this year.
