Retreats have always been a part of youth groups and campus ministries. Lutheran Campus Ministry at the University of Arizona participates in a myriad of different retreats ranging from simple overnights to weekend trips with other campus ministries.

One of the biggest retreats we participate in is an annual trip to La Jolla, California with the Presbyterian and Methodist campus ministries from The University of Arizona as well as the Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Methodist campus ministries from Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. This retreat is mainly used as a fall introduction to Christian ministry on campus and a great bonding experience for university newcomers and returners.

In addition to the ecumenical retreat in the fall, Lutheran Campus Ministry also plans a ski/snowboard/sledding tip in the spring semester. This retreat is mainly hosted for the Lutheran Campus Ministries from The University of Arizona, Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University.

Along with ecumenical and Arizona retreats, Lutheran Campus Ministry at the University of Arizona also participates in retreats hosted by Lutheran Student Movement.  LCM-UA is a member of the Lutheran Student Movement-Desert Southwest Region and participates in one regional retreat each semester (fall and spring) and one annual national gathering of all Lutheran Student Movement chapters.

Aside from the regular retreats that LCM-UA plans and participates in, we also have many smaller social and spiritual gatherings for internal bonding and spiritual growth. Please check out some of the retreats that are coming up in the near future!
